Subscriptions Manager

Your privacy is important to us. It is Darius Buhai's policy, acting as an independent individual developer, to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our app, Subscriptions Manager.

Subscriptions Manager is a freemium app. It is free to download and use, and optional one-time in-app purchases unlock additional features such as unlimited subscriptions, cloud backup, renewal reminders, bank-statement import and customisation options. There is no recurring subscription to the app itself, and no account is required to use it.

What information we collect?

Your subscription data. The subscriptions, folders and reward programs you add — names, prices, currencies, billing dates and notes — are stored locally on your device. We operate no servers of our own and never receive this data.
App settings. Preferences such as your theme, primary colour, default currency, language and sort order are stored locally on your device.
Images you choose. If you set a custom logo for a subscription or reward, you pick a single image file and it is copied into the app's own storage on your device. The app does not scan, index or upload your photo library.
Bank statements you import. If you use the statement import feature, you choose a CSV file and it is read and analysed entirely on your device to find recurring payments. The file and its contents are never uploaded.
Notifications. With your permission, the app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you before a bill or trial period ends. These are generated on the device and are not sent through us.
Purchases. In-app purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Cloud backup (optional). If you choose to sync, your subscription data is written to your own iCloud or Google Drive account. It stays within your account and is not accessible to us.

Third-party services

The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK, and does not build a profile of you. It contacts outside services only for the features below, and only when you use them:

When you search for a service or a logo online, your search term is sent to the Apple iTunes Search API, Google Play search and favicon service, and the Clearbit Logo API. As with any web request, these services receive your IP address.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
If you enable cloud backup, data is exchanged with Apple iCloud or, after you sign in with Google, the Google Drive API.

How do we use your information?

We only ask for permissions when we truly need them to provide a feature to you.
We only retain information for as long as necessary to provide the requested service.
We protect any stored data using commercially acceptable security methods.
We do not publicly share personally identifying information except when legally required.
Our app may link to external sites that are not operated by us.

How do we secure the data?

Any connections and requests made by the app are done through HTTPS.
Data kept on your device stays under the protection of your device's operating system.

How users may request deletion of their data?

The app stores its data locally on your device. You can remove it at any time using the "Erase data" option in the app's settings, by clearing the app's data from your device settings, or by uninstalling the app, which deletes all associated settings and locally stored information. If you enabled cloud backup, you can additionally delete the app's data from your own iCloud or Google Drive account.

Privacy Policy Updates

We may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date reflects the effective date of such changes.
